Healthy Lifestyle Upgrade Tips:

Upgrade whatever you eat in the morning to fruit, and don't eat anything but fruit up until noon.

Upgrade acid forming coffee, caffeine drinks and sugar laden sodas with, my favorite drink - clean refreshing spring water, herbal teas, or healthier coffee substitutes such as Cafix, Teeccino, Pero, or an even healthier choice (and tasty too) - roasted dandelion root.

Upgrade those extra 10 minutes of sleep in the morning or rest at lunch for a walk around the block.

Upgrade meat for tempeh (use the same way you use meat) - yum! and oh so healthy.

Upgrade fluoride toothpaste for a natural toothpaste.

Upgrade deodorant/antiperspirant for aluminum free Crystal Deodorant or simply wash up a couple times a day with a wash cloth and a dot of Dr. Bronners liquid peppermint soap.

Upgrade white flour tortillas for organic sprouted whole wheat or better yet a big leaf like young cabbage leaves or collard greens - just one dark green leaf is full of life promoting phytonutrients and you get 100 times the dose of a folic acid supplement.

Upgrade white rice for brown rice, quinoa - which has a very high protein content, millet, or a wild rice medley.

Upgrade bagels for whole grain toast.

Upgrade butter to Earth Balance - or better yet avocado.

Upgrade cream cheese for tofutti vegan creme cheese, or a slice of delicious avocado with herbs.

Upgrade the voice in your head. Instead of putting your self down lift yourself up - laugh at yourself and silly little mistakes, realize you are your own best friend. Be gentle with yourself, give yourself permission to take life a little less seriously and laugh. Be your own angel with gentle guidance and persuasion, talk to yourself as if you were your lover, call yourself sweetheart and darling(this is a great and humorous practice, a wonderful way to scratch those old patterns in your head so you can start anew). It's a bigger mistake to keep yourself down than it is to make a mistake. As soon as you laugh, you learn. Failure is not falling down, it's staying down.

Upgrade candy on your desk or in your car to a bag of mixed dried fruit and whole raw nuts to satisfy that sweet tooth. Medjool dates are the best caramel there is.

Add a half an avocado to your green salad - a yummy treat as well as adding more super power to your foods.
